Masonic Safety ID at The Great New York State Fair!

The Masonic Safety ID at the New York State Fair is in full swing right now and will continue to run through the Labor Day holiday. The Chairman for the MSID in the Onondaga District is W∴Hank Havener and the Co-Chairman are W∴Tom Fuzia, W∴Charlie Blood and Brother Scott Magil. They all have the important and difficult task of staffing and putting this 12-day event together.

The times for the Safety ID Booth are 10:00am to 10:00pm. There are 3 different shifts during the daily operation of the Fair. They are: 10:00am, 2:00pm, and 6:00pm.

The Onondaga District MSID Staff is very thankful to all the Brethren and Districts that have already put in their valuable time to help make this year at the fair a success. The MSID staff is always looking for more Brethren to assist in any of the 3 daily shifts throughout the duration of the fair. There are still many open spots left to fill in.

*Please call W∴Hank Havener at 315-264-0148 or W∴Tom Fuzia at 917-579-5697 to schedule a shift at the Safety ID Booth. Tickets will be available at Gate 3. Your name will be listed as a MSID volunteer and you will be given a free ticket to enter the fair. Before or after you have worked your scheduled shift, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the day at the NYS Fair.

We do over 3,000 IDs throughout the 12- day run of the fair, so if any other Masonic Region, District, Lodge, or individual Brother would like to help, you are always welcome. Your help is truly appreciated. You’ll be glad you volunteered and you’ll also have the chance to enjoy a day at the great NYS Fair. Thank you!
